Brian and Cyndy Fuhro parishioners of our OLM community, as a Knight and Dame of the Order of Malta, will be traveling to Lourdes, France on the 35th Annual Lourdes Pilgrimage from May 2 through May 9, 2023. They have offered to take to Lourdes any special intentions that members of our OLM community may have. The intentions can be handwritten in a sealed envelope. They will be hand delivered to the grotto of Massabielle where on February 11, 1858, the Blessed Mother appeared before Bernadette Soubirous (now Saint Bernadette), a 14-year-old peasant girl. A BASKET WILL BE IN THE NARTHEX TO DROP INTENTIONS.
A parishioner is looking for help watching his elderly mother (also a parishioner) in her home in West Milford, close to Butler. She suffers from a medium case of dementia, but carries on a conversation walks on her own, only needing help getting in/out of a chair. Parents of a developmentally disabled young adult male in Kinnelon are seeking a nurturing and energetic part-time personal assistant for their son. He is nonverbal, happy and gentle. Duties - transporting to Wyckoff YMCA for swimming, outdoor and mall walks and other similar activities. Hours are 12-16/week over 3-4 days. $22 hr.
