  • MATCHING FUND FOR CHRISTMAS GIVING
A SPECIAL Christmas fund has been established to assist parishioners who do not have the discretionary income to purchase gifts for their children at Christmas. Last year, 26 parishioners donated $10,000 which enabled us to help seven families and organizations have a Merry Christmas. Since inception in 2017, this fund has raised and contributed over $44,000 to those in need. If you would like to contribute this year please make checks payable to OLM and note “Christmas Fund”. Either mail/drop them at the Parish office or give them to Fr. Steve. A generous parishioner has volunteered to “match” up to $5,000 of what is collected by the Parish. In addition, he has challenged other parishioners to join in the matching gift portion of the program. If you are interested in matching, please call George in the office at 973-838-6838 ext. 102. Your prayerful consideration of both opportunities is greatly appreciated. God Bless!

  • AN ELECTION PRAYER TO MARY
Most Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy, at this most critical time, we entrust the USA to your loving care. We beg you to reclaim this land for the glory of your Son. Have mercy upon us and touch the hearts of our people. Open our minds to the great worth of human life and to the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Grant our country the wisdom to proclaim that God’s law is the foundation on which our nation was founded, and that He alone is the True Source of our cherished right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. O Merciful Mother, give us the courage to reject the culture of death and the strength to build a Culture of Life. Our Bishop’s Conference for the US has published guidelines to assist Catholic voters at www.usccb.org/offices/justice-and-peace/forming-consciences-faithful-citizenship.
