The Ladies Guild is collecting new bath and hand towels, shampoo (not travel or large economy sizes), soap, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, men's and women's underwear/socks for the families and the homeless served by Father English Center. MARCH 9TH – 23RD Our Lady of Good Counsel in Pompton Plains will display a Eucharistic Miracles Exhibit along with a first-class relic. Carlos Acutis a devout Catholic teenager researched and created a website of Eucharistic Miracles so others can realize the True Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. This traveling exhibit is based on his website and catalogues all the Eucharistic miracles worldwide. Carlos Acutis who died in 2006 will be canonized on Sunday, April 27th in Rome. Ash Wednesday is March 5th the first day of Lent. This is a time of Prayer, Fasting and Almsgiving. Masses and Ash Service ALL IN THE CHURCH: 7am, 8:15am, 4:30pm (ashes only) 7:00pm.

Raquel Perez Gonzalez and Debbie DuHaime will speak at the Masses about the Life Saving Mission of Good Counsel Homes. Their mission accepts all homeless, pregnant women and their children. They have four homes that provide moms with the necessary resources and skills to break the cycle of abuse, addiction and poverty. Good Counsel envelopes will be available to support the beautiful moms and babies living in the Good Counsel homes. Help Good Counsel save moms, and they will Save their Babies!

Please join us for Soup & Stations on Friday evenings this Lent! We will gather in the Church at 6PM for a family-friendly Stations of the Cross, followed by a meatless soup supper & fellowship in the Ryan Room. This will take place on the following Fridays during Lent: 3/14, 3/21, 3/28, and 4/4. NOTE: There will be no Soup & Stations on April 11. OLM Parishioner Juliet Tamayne recently received the National Girl Scout Award – I Live My Faith. During the Girl/Boy Scout Mass, Bishop, the Most Reverend Kevin J. Sweeney presented this recognition award. The I Live My Faith program is designed for youth to become more aware of the place that God and religion hold in their daily lives. Congratulations and God Bless you Juliet, OLM is proud of you!

We are pleased to announce that as of this weekend we have achieved $1.49 million in pledges on our goal of $1.4 million - 106%. In addition, we have already collected $715 thousand of these pledges. The remaining pledges will be paid over the next 3 years. Thank you all for your generosity in giving and praying for the success of the campaign. The OLM community has always been there for those in need and your support for our own needs is truly appreciated. Work has begun and you will see the impact of your donations around the campus!

Claudette Meehan is sending a heartfelt thank you to the Knights of Columbus OLM Council # 14493 for their gift in memory of her husband Greg Meehan. The Knights gave her a St. Joseph’s Bible with a dedication for Greg on the cover. It will be a family treasure for years to come.
