On Sunday, Nov. 5TH, a special Anniversary Mass will be held at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Paterson. Bishop Serratelli will bless couples celebrating milestone anniversaries. Our parishioners Bill & Ellen Sharkey (50yrs.) and Don & Inge Blazina (25 yrs.) will be honored. God Bless your marriages!

The Christmas Giving Tree will be up in the narthex of the church the weekend of Nov. 18th & 19th with gift tags for the children at the Catholic Charities Fr. English Center and Martin DePorres Center. NEW THIS YEAR – demographics have changed at the Fr. English Center with more seniors needing care, so we have agreed to make tags for 150 children and 15 seniors. Your participation and generosity is much appreciated.

OLM Church and the Kinnelon HS Give Back Club have teamed up with SHELTER OUR SOLDIERS. Together, we will be making 100 care packages for homeless veterans, to let them know they are not forgotten and because it is never too late to say: THANK YOU! Approx. 50,000 vets are homeless in the US nightly. GOAL: 100 blankets & 100 winter hats by Dec. 3. HOW: Drop new or slightly used blankets and hats in the Shelter Our Soldiers box in the narthex of the church.

#iGiveCatholic is a 1-day online charitable event in dioceses across the nation to support individual Catholic parishes to raise funds to support their ministries. #GivingTuesday, is set for Tuesday, Nov. 28TH following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday kicks off the Season of Giving and helps us to be more focused on giving, rather than receiving. Last year, the event raised more than $1.8 million for participating dioceses. OLM is joining this national program, and ALL donations by OLM parishioners stay at OLM and benefit the OLM Youth Ministry Program to: Refurbish the youth room, Establish scholarships for teens to attend youth events, and the Lifeteen program, which is a ministry geared specifically to HS teens.
