Serving Christ Among Us - If you have not yet responded to the 2015 Bishop’s Annual Appeal, there is still time to do so as the 2015 Appeal funds are used to support ministries and programs through the end of the diocesan fiscal year on June 30, 2016. On Friday Jan. 22, a bus will leave our parking lot at 6:30am for Washington DC to March for Life. It is a great opportunity for families to take the day off and travel to the nation’s capital to demonstrate on behalf of unborn children. Our Knights of Columbus will finance the trip with help from parishioners who donate for and wear a rose emblematic of life. Fr. Please consider becoming a hospitality host/hostess after the 9AM Mass one Sunday. Adult parishioners enjoy this time together as much as the children do! If you haven't hosted before, it's easy. You will receive a detailed email and you will have kitchen assistance on your day. Please consider participating by signing up on the sheet in the narthex. Thank you very much, Msgr. Carroll, for the opportunity to speak before the congregation on 4 separate occasions a few weeks ago. Our parishioners helped raise more than $2,000 for turkeys for the poor. OLM is so important to the group’s success helping raise more than 10% of our funds this year. Parents of our 2nd graders preparing for First Reconciliation attended a special meeting during this past week to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation before their children. Perhaps next year we will plan it so that their children might be present to witness their parents actually receiving the Sacrament.

With a generous donation from parishioners John and Forsetta Cleary, the Ladies Guild has purchased an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for the Chapel. Thank you so much to the Cleary’s for their generosity and to Stephanie Schuckalo for helping facilitate the purchase at a discounted rate!

The Colgate Resolutions, an a cappella singing ensemble from Colgate University, featuring our own Kevin Yapaola, will perform in concert here at OLM on Monday, January 11, at 7:30 p.m. Using their unaccompanied voices, they will perform a varied repertoire which is sure to be entertaining for the whole family. Admission is a free-will donation.

The 43rd Annual March for Life is scheduled for Friday, January 22nd, 2016. Join our Knights of Columbus and parishioners on the trip to Washington DC.
