Serving Christ Among Us: Many members of our parish have received, or will soon receive, a letter from our Bishop requesting our support for the 2015 Bishop’s Annual Appeal. This year, the theme of the Appeal is Serving Christ Among Us. By coming together as a faith community, our collective gifts to the Appeal serve tens of thousands of people through our Catholic Charities agencies, as well as assists our inner-city area schools, our retired diocesan priests at Nazareth Village and seminarian education. Please join with your fellow parishioners and make a big impact for people in need by making a generous pledge to the 2015 Bishop’s Annual Appeal. If you have received the Bishop’s letter, please prayerfully respond today. God bless you!

Those who are planning to marry next year should reserve their dates for a Church wedding. Either Fr. Lukasz or Msgr. Carroll are available to assist in the preparation. Please call the rectory as ASAP to book a date. Catholics who marry outside a Catholic Church (in a wedding chapel or outside on a beach/garden) will not find a Catholic priest or deacon in good standing to witness their marriage.

My name is Hope Wright and I am working towards earning my Girl Scout Silver Award. For my project I am collecting new socks for the homeless. My reason for this project is because many homeless people get foot infections from either having no socks or dirty socks. I will be collecting the socks on Sept. 12-13 and 19-20. There will be a collection box in the narthex of the Church. Thank you for your donations, Hope.
